Nippon Paper Industries Printing Paper and Communication Paper Price Revisions

Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. (President: Yoshio Haga) has announced price revisions for printing paper and communication paper to all its agencies.

1. Products subject to price revisions: Printing paper and communication paper

2. Markup: Minimum 10%

3. Timing of implementation: From September 1, 2011 shipment

4. Reason for implementation:

Amid a new upward trend in the price of raw materials and fuels, the Company has made sustained efforts to reduce costs. However, it has proven difficult to absorb all the cost increases through the Company's own efforts, and it was decided that there was no alternative but to pass a portion of the cost on to the product price.
