2012 Nissui Research Fund Application for Foreign Researchers

ORIGIN AND PURPOSE

Nippon Suisan Kaisha., Ltd. (Nissui) is dedicated to contributing a healthier and richer life to people around the world by creating diverse values from marine resources and delivering them to customers as our mission after foundation in 1911. This year, we provide a new type of fund for foreign researchers in fishery field in Japan.

ELIGIBILITY

The Nissui Research Fund in the fields of fisheries science (aquaculture, processing and others) is for doctor course students and Post doctoral Researcher in Japan.

The applicant

• must be a non-Japanese citizen.
• must be enrolled in a university or research institution in Japan.
• can not get other fund with regard to the same study content.
• can suppose the study report to Nissui after the duration.
• can attend the internal conference (the date is not yet fixed).

FUNDING

Generally, funds that range from ¥300,000 - ¥500,000 are available.

DURATION

One-year length from January 1 2012 to December 31 2012.

HOW TO APPLY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must submit a completed application form (MS word version) by E-mail.

DEADLINE

Application for 2012 Grants must arrive no later than 5pm, October 31, 2011.

SERECTION CRITERIA

Selection is conducted by Nissui’s selection committee.
The selection results will be notified to applicant directly by email at the end of November in 2011.
