adapters and one where you can stow away the cable, go on sale


Starting from the beginning of April, ELECOM CO., LTD. (Head office: Chuo-ku, Osaka, Japan; President: Junji Hada) will release three new kinds of 4-port USB hubs that can be used to connect USB devices to smartphones and tablet PCs.

All three new 4-port USB hubs are equipped with a USB microB connector, allowing you to connect it to your smartphone or tablet PC as-is. By connecting the hub's USB microB cable to a smartphone/tablet PC with USB host functionality, you can use a mouse, USB memory, keyboard, or other USB device.
There are three new kinds of products: one is the U2HS-MB02-4 series that even lets you connect to a PC by using the attached conversion adapter. The other two are the U2HS-MB03-4BBK series that let you stow away the USB microB cable inside the hub, making it convenient to carry around and store when not in use.

The U2HS-MB02-4 series is equipped with a USB microB⇔USB A conversion adapter that lets you connect the hub to a PC. When you want to use a USB device with your smartphone or tablet PC, you can connect the hub directly without having to use another adapter. When you want to use it with a PC, you can do so by connecting to the adapter. There is a model that is both self-powered and bus powered (U2HS-MB02-4SBK) and a model that is bus power only (U2HS-MB02-4BBK), so you can choose the one that fits your needs. The model that is both self-powered and bus-powered includes an AC adapter that delivers stable power to power-hungry devices such as external hard drives. When using in self-powered mode, connected USB devices can be powered even with the host device powered off. The bus-powered only model does not require an AC adapter, so it can be used with ease. All models include a side port that makes connecting USB devices easy. Additionally, each port includes an LED lamp to check if the port is powered.

The USB microB cable on the U2HS-MB03-4BBK model can be stowed away inside the hub itself, making it convenient when carry around or storing when not in use. The model is easy to use and powered by the bus, thereby eliminating the need for an AC adapter, which is optimal for connecting devices like a mouse, keyboard, or USB memory. In addition to the three ports on the front, there is one on the side as well, making it easy to connect USB devices with wide connectors.
All three products come in standard black.
