Nikon Supports AFC Asian Qualifiers

May 28, 2012

The final round of the Asian qualifiers for 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil will take place from June 3, 2012 to November 19, 2013. The Asian qualifiers are hosted by the AFC (Asian Football Confederation).

Ten national teams divided into two groups play home and away games. Group winners and runners-up will automatically qualify for 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, while the two third-placed teams will compete in the Asian play-off, with the winner advancing to the intercontinental play-off against a South American team.

Korea Republic, IR Iran, Uzbekistan, Qatar and Lebanon are in Group A, and Australia, Iraq, Jordan, Oman and Japan in Group B.

Nikon will support the event as an official supporter. This means that the Nikon logo will be displayed around the pitch at each game and Nikon will operate a service depot providing support to official photographers at the matches.

Games will be broadcast in a number of countries worldwide, especially in Asia.
