RaQualia Starts a First-In-Human Study for a Novel 5-HT4 Partial Agonist RQ-00000010

June 1, 2012 – RaQualia Pharma Inc. (RaQualia) announced initiation of a Phase 1 study for RQ-00000010, a potent and highly selective 5-HT4 partial agonist, in the United Kingdom. This first-in-human study will characterize the safety and pharmacokinetic profiles of RQ-00000010, and the compound’s effects on gastric emptying in healthy subjects.

RQ-00000010 has the potential to be a new therapy for the treatment of diseases related to GI motility disorders for which currently there exist significant unmet medical needs. This study is a key milestone for the development of RQ-00000010 to support its product profile.
