Tokyo, Japan, June 8, 2012 ---Teijin Fibers Limited and N.I.Teijin Shoji Co., Ltd., the Teijin Group's products converting business companies, announced that they will participate in Asia Nonwovens Exhibition (ANEX) 2012, one of the top three exhibitions in the global nonwoven industry, which will be held at the KINTEX exhibition center in Seoul, South Korea from June 13 to 15.
The Teijin exhibit (stands G35 and G39), with the keywords ecology, advance and global as its theme, will feature environmentally minded functional materials manufactured at the Teijin Group's technology-driven production bases in Japan and Thailand and sold worldwide.
Teijin exhibits will include the following:
- elk high-performance polyester cushioning material with excellent elasticity, breathability and durability, used in place of urethane for a range of cushioning applications, including train car seats and mattresses.
- NANOFRONT polyester ultra-fine nanofiber with a thickness of just 700 nanometers, or 7,500 times smaller than the cross section of human hair. NANOFRONT fabrics resist slippage and are delicate, comfortable and highly absorbent and opaque. Unique applications, including gloves, facial masks and oil-blotting paper, will be introduced.
- Tepyrus polyester ultra-fine short-cut fiber is specially engineered for wet-laid nonwovens and used in products such as wallpaper and filters. Tepyrus fiber made entirely from recycled PET bottles will also be introduced.
- Pyromex flame-resistant oxidized polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fiber offering outstanding flame, heat and chemical resistance and electrical insulation. Electronics applications such as heat insulators will be introduced.
ANEX, held every third year since 2000, will take place in Korea for the first time. More than 200 exhibitors from 20 countries in Asia, Europe and North America will present a wide variety of materials, nonwoven production machinery and equipment.
