Introducing Echt-Flex® Coupling for Machine Tool Spindles

On June 1, Tsubaki Emerson Co. (President: Tadashi Ichikawa; Headquarters: Nagaokakyo, Kyoto, Japan), a subsidiary of Tsubakimoto Chain Co., introduced Echt-Flex disc couplings for machine tool spindles.

A full line of couplings -- from general-purpose to precision models -- is available. Echt-Flex couplings exhibit excellent basic characteristics including compact design, high torque capacity, high torsional rigidity, and a low moment of inertia. A future release will include a series ideal for use in applications requiring high rotational speeds.

To meet the needs of machine tools operating at higher speeds, this product incorporates a dedicated hub combining compact design and high torque. Moreover, after precision assembly, these couplings are balanced for stability during high-speed rotation. This also contributes to lower power consumption.
