Annual Report 2012 is Published on Website

Today Sumitomo Metal Industries, Ltd. (Sumitomo Metals) has published its Annual Report 2012. As in the previous year, we presented the Annual Report to shareholders at the General Shareholders’ Meeting held today.

This year’s Annual Report contains the following main messages:

・ Sumitomo Metals will integrate with Nippon Steel Corporation to make a new start as Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation and aim at higher accomplishments with strong determination to “contribute to society through steelmaking.”
・

Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation will implement overseas strategies speedily and aim to become “the Best Steelmaker” in terms of technology, cost competitiveness and other measures.

The feature page on the Integration has been prepared jointly with Nippon Steel and is also published in their Annual Report.
