Financial Support from the Nuclear Damage Liability Facilitation Fund

Today, we received 80.9 billion yen from the Nuclear Damage Liability Facilitation Fund (hereinafter referred to as the Fund) based on the revised Special Business Plan approved on May 9, 2012.

This financial support was given in response to our fifth request made in order to cover the compensation payouts to be completed by the end of July, as the sum of the compensation received in accordance with the "Act on Contract for Indemnification of Nuclear Damage Compensation" (120 billion yen) and the financial support provided by the Fund (928.8 billion yen) will not be sufficient for the total amount of payout.

With the financial support received from the Fund, we will continue our utmost efforts in implementing the "compensation payouts with courtesy and compassion" in consideration of those afflicted by the nuclear damage.
