Notice about the Start of Business for Japan Vaccine

Japan Vaccine Co., Ltd. （hereinafter, Japan Vaccine）, a joint venture created by an equal investment by Daiichi Sankyo and GlaxoSmithKline K.K. started operations today.

About Japan Vaccine:

Japan Vaccine will hold all development and marketing rights for prophylactic vaccines owned by both of its parent companies and perform clinical development, marketing and sales activities in Japan. At the start of operations, Japan Vaccine will only handle the parent companies’ existing vaccines but will soon add to its portfolio the vaccine candidates currently in development that are expected to be approved.

Japan Vaccine aims to utilize the strengths of both of its parent companies to protect a wide range of Japanese patients from infectious diseases as a highly specialized vaccine business.
