TMC Announces Results for June 2012 and January - June 2012

Toyota City, Japan, July 25, 2012—Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) announces its production, domestic sales and export results, including those for subsidiaries Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. and Hino Motors, Ltd., for June 2012 and for January to June 2012.

  • Minivehicle sales totaled 5,300 units
  • 48.2% share of market excluding minivehicles (7.5% increase); sixth consecutive month of increase
  • 31.3% share of market including minivehicles
Daihatsu
  • Ninth consecutive month of increase
  • Minivehicle sales totaled approximately 67,400 units (42.1% increase); ninth consecutive month of increase
  • 35.8% share of minivehicle market (1.6% decrease)
Hino
  • Twelfth consecutive month of increase
  • Standard-truck sales totaled approximately 2,200 units (86.7% increase); twelfth consecutive month of increase
  • 34.1% share of the truck* market (3.1% decrease)

  • Ninth consecutive month of increase
  • 45.4% share of market including minivehicles (5.4% increase); ninth consecutive month of increase
