Built-in “Blue LED Sensor” That Can Be Used Anywhere!

Launching a New Multi-Function 5-Button Wireless Mouse

With Built-in Tilt Wheel, and “Forward” and “Back” Buttons

ELECOM CO., LTD. (Head office: Chuo-ku, Osaka, Japan; President: Junji Hada) will launch the new “M-BL09DB Series” in late July, a 5-button wireless Blue LED mouse offering a variety of functionality including a built-in “Blue LED Sensor” that can be used comfortably anywhere; a tilt wheel that can be used to scroll up, down, left, and right; and “Forward” and “Back” buttons that are handy when viewing web pages.

The “M-BL09DB Series” is a mouse with a built-in “Blue LED” sensor offering superb tracking capability. Compared to the red light used in traditional optical mice, the blue light of the “Blue LED” has a shorter wavelength and is therefore capable of making highly accurate readings; it can also be used on surfaces where traditional optical mice have shown poor performance such as glass, transparent surfaces, and carpets (*).
* Reduced tracking capability may be observed on glass surfaces that permeate light completely, or on completely flat surfaces.

The “M-BL09DB Series” is a wireless mouse offering a high level of performance, featuring a built-in “tilt wheel,” as well as “Forward” and “Back” buttons. It is based on an ergonomic design that allows a deeper grip and which goes in line with its product image of high performance.
The center wheel has a built-in “tilt wheel” that can be tilted left and right with your fingertip, which then scrolls the application screen in the same direction. When looking at Excel data with multiple columns, you can tilt the mouse wheel to scroll the screen from left to right (*). Additionally, the mouse has 5 buttons featuring “Forward” and “Back” buttons on its side, which are handy when viewing web pages. It also allows you to choose and assign functions, such as the Windows shortcut key, to each one of its buttons (*). It dramatically increases the efficiency and ease of operability of your PC by giving you the ability to access frequently used functions with just one click. It also has a built-in switch for changing resolution so you can choose between two settings, 800/1600 dpi, depending on your intended use.
* You will need to download and install “ELECOM Mouse Assistant 2” from ELECOM’s web site.

Its wireless system operates on the 2.4GHz band which offers stable communications; it can be used on non-magnetic surfaces within a range of approximately 10m, and even on magnetic surfaces, such as steel desks, up to approximately 3m (based on in-house testing). Its ultra compact receiver is the size of a 1 yen coin, and can be left plugged into your PC without it getting in the way. The receiver can also be stored within the base of the mouse, making it easier to carry around, and reducing the risk of it getting lost. It also has a handy button that allows you to take out the receiver with just one push. The base of the mouse also has other useful features such as a power switch, and a battery level indicator that lets you know how much battery there is left. Available in 6 different colors, offering a great variety to choose from.
