Abolishment of operating officer appointment, structure change and
personnel revisions
Please be informed that the board meeting of this company resolved to abolish the appointment
of operating officers effective as of December 31, 2010 and also resolved to implement the
structure change and the personnel revisions effective as of January 1, 2011.
1. The reason for the abolishment of operating officer appointment
The appointment of operating officer is abolished in the aim to further speed up management
decision and to improve effectiveness of business operation by implementing enhanced
delegation of power to chiefs of headquarters and general managers under the situation that the
management supervisory functions have been reinforced by structural renovation of the board of
directors.
2. The structure change (effective as of January 1, 2011)
While taking advantage of the core technologies of this company, and in order to actively
develop businesses in new fields, an [Advanced Technology Development Office] is newly
formed and the existing advanced technology department is renamed as the technology
department 5.
3. Personnel revisions (effective as of January 1, 2011)
